The use of intelligent integrated pan tilt zoom cameras has effectively improved inspection efficiency and enabled high-tech means to provide "home and courtyard protection" for the site. So what are the common troubleshooting and system maintenance methods for gimbal cameras?

 

1. The malfunction of the gimbal. A common malfunction of a gimbal is that it does not function properly or cannot rotate at all shortly after use. The occurrence of this situation is mainly manifested as a malfunction or even damage of the 485 control line, in addition to factors such as product quality and poor waterproof and antifreeze measures of the outdoor gimbal due to high or low environmental temperatures. At this time, a multimeter needs to be used to check whether the 485 control line is unobstructed. If it is not unobstructed, simply reconnect the 485 control line.

 

2. When the distance is too far, the keyboard cannot remotely control the camera (including lens) and gimbal through the decoder. This is mainly because when the distance is too far, the control signal attenuation is too large, and the control signal received by the decoder is too weak. At this point, a relay box should be installed at a certain distance to amplify and shape the control signal.

 

3. The contrast of the monitor's image is too low, resulting in a blurry image. This phenomenon is either caused by the control host and monitor itself, or by the transmission distance being too far or the video transmission line being attenuated too much. In this case, devices for line amplification and compensation should be added.

 

4. The keyboard is malfunctioning. This phenomenon can be basically determined to be caused by a "crash" of the operating keyboard when there is no problem with the connection. In the explanation of the operation function of the keyboard, there is generally a method to solve the "crash", such as "reset the whole machine", which can be used to solve it. If it cannot be resolved, it may be that the keyboard itself is damaged.

 

5. The host's switching of images is not clean. This fault phenomenon is manifested in the interference of other images overlaid on the selected image, or the interference of the line synchronization signal of other images. This is due to poor quality of the matrix switch on the host, which cannot meet the requirements for isolation between images.

 

6. Communication malfunction. Sometimes the controlled gimbal or electric lens can operate normally, sometimes it cannot or is delayed, or it cannot stop after operation, mainly due to communication line problems. Check the production process of relevant network cables and network communication equipment.
