The PTZ camera monitoring equipment consists of many parts, and the camera and PTZ are important components of the entire monitoring equipment. It is necessary to pay attention to maintenance in order to ensure that it can work properly. Especially when encountering background monitoring where images cannot be seen on the monitor, the first thing to check is whether the camera and ball machine can operate.
When testing camera equipment with a pan tilt zoom camera, engineers use video surveillance comprehensive testing instruments to perform three aspects of testing: first, use the instrument to test whether the camera has an image. The 3.5-inch color display screen of the instrument can clearly display the images collected by the camera. If the instrument cannot receive images or receives abnormal images, it indicates that the camera has a fault; Secondly, use a monitoring comprehensive tester to measure the attenuation of video signals and measure the video summation level of the camera. The normal range is 800-1000mV. If the level is too low, it will cause the image to darken, and if the level is too high, it will cause ghosting; Thirdly, use a multimeter of the instrument to measure whether the power supply of the camera's transformer is normal. Generally, the output of the transformer is 12V DC, and the output of the ball camera's transformer is 24V AC. Transformers are accessories with a relatively high failure rate in monitoring equipment systems.
In security monitoring systems, gimbal or ball camera are widely used. Monitoring center staff can adjust the camera angle flexibly. When gimbal or ball camera is not under control or cannot rotate in a certain position, engineering personnel need to carry a multifunctional keyboard to test whether the rotation of gimbal or ball camera is normal. However, different manufacturers of gimbals or ball machines have their own dedicated protocols, and engineers need to bring corresponding multifunctional keyboards for testing when maintaining ball machines, which may require multiple keyboards for testing different ball machines. Engineering personnel can effectively solve this problem by using a video surveillance comprehensive tester, as it embeds over thirty protocols such as Pelco-D/P and BOSCH, as well as a dedicated pan tilt rotation testing function for testing pan tilt rotation.
During the use of monitoring equipment, engineers play an absolutely important role. For example, the gimbal can be directly operated and observed. If the gimbal gets stuck during rotation, it needs to be dealt with.
