PTZ camera, from the word's meaning, refers to a camera with a PTZ. The gimbal is a component that can carry the camera in motion. It can be controlled by the controller to rotate in the same direction as up, down, left, right, etc., thus compensating for the unique defect of fixed-point camera monitoring direction. The operator can control the rotation of the pan tilt to enable the camera to monitor the direction that the operator wants to see. The position, shooting angle, and video compatibility of a PTZ camera are the most important considerations for its application.

Precautions for PTZ cameras:

  1. When selecting a gimbal, it is best to choose a gimbal with control input and network video input/output interfaces installed in a fixed position of the gimbal, and to connect the control input and video output lines of the camera and lens formed by a soft spiral between the fixed and rotating parts (i.e., between the camera and the camera). After installation and use, this gimbal will not cause damage to the connecting wires of the rotating parts due to long-term use. Especially for outdoor gimbals, this should be the case.

  2. The minimum ambient illumination of the monitoring location should be ten times higher than the minimum illumination (sensitivity) required by the camera.

  3. Color cameras set outdoors or in low light environments should have a sensitivity of no more than 1.01x (F1.4), or use color cameras that can automatically convert to black and white images in low light conditions.
